Jason Ong is currently a Senior Principal Engineer from ST Engineering Marine's Engineering Design Centre (EDC). He started as an Automation Engineer in the commissioning department. With his many years of on-site commissioning experiences, Jason and his team has developed the first state-of-the-art in-house design Ship Control and Monitoring System (SCMS), which was trademarked as NERVA SMS2. This system has obtained the Marine Classification Design Approval certification, and it has been installed in vessels from the Singapore Navy, SCDF, and the latest from the Police Coast Guards. The system has also been installed in a land base water plant project, where he is also the project lead.

Jason Ong graduated in 2002 with B. Eng (EEE) with Honour, specialising in Control and Automation Engineering at Nanyang Technological University (School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering), Singapore.
